Born in Kyiv

Andrii Matiukha was born on September 29, 1972, in Kyiv.

Start and the rise in business

In the early 1990s, he was engaged in business.

In 1999, he founded a company that later evolved into the internationally known brand FAVBET.

In 2024, the FAVBET group paid nearly 6 billion UAH in taxes to Ukraine’s budget. In the first half of 2025 alone — already 4.37 billion UAH.

Today, Andrii Matiukha’s company operates not only in Ukraine but also in Croatia and Romania. FAVBET is a recognized brand working in Ukraine and for Ukraine.

“We’re not just creating an industry. We’re shaping Ukraine’s image as a legal gaming hub with responsible gaming rules,” says Andrii Matiukha.

In 2024, Matiukha became the owner of the natural mineral water brand VODA UA.

Influence and recognition

Andrii Matiukha is not only the frontman of FAVBET, but one of the recognized and respected leaders of Ukraine’s modern IT business.

He has the experience of building a successful company. He is a man of the future. He generates ideas that shape the world of tomorrow. In addition, Andrii actively participates in supporting important social projects.

FAVBET: evolution and leadership

FAVBET is one of the largest and most innovative iGaming companies in Eastern Europe. The driving force behind it has always been and remains Andrii Matiukha.

Key pillars in FAVBET’s developmen became:

According to DOU rankings, FAVBET Tech is among the top 50 productive IT companies in Ukraine. It specializes in developing innovative solutions for the entertainment industry.

FAVBET Tech is a resident of Diia.City. It takes part in the Association IT Ukraine. According to BRDO, it’s one of the top five taxpayers among residents.

First legal casino in Ukraine

On May 14, 2021, Andrii Matiukha opened Ukraine’s first legal casino – Billionaire Casino – in the five-star Intercontinental Hotel in Kyiv.

More than 100 million UAH was invested in it. The casino created 220 new jobs.

Supporting Okhmatdyt hospital

Supporting the National children's hospital Okhmatdyt is a major initiative of the FAVBET Foundation and the Andrii Matiukha Foundation.

Since 2023, the hospital has received from charitable foundations over 6 million UAH for medical equipment.

After the Russian missile strike on July 8, 2024, the FAVBET Foundation donated to Okhmatdyt 10 million UAH to aid with recovery and rebuilding after extensive damage.

Support for Sports

Sport for FAVBET was, is, and remains a priority area of sponsorship and partnership.

Andrii Matiukha has supported football clubs like Dynamo (Kyiv), Arsenal (Kyiv), Shakhtar (Donetsk), and over a dozen other teams, both in Ukraine and abroad — including Zagreb, HNK Rijeka, and NK Istra 1961.

Besides football, FAVBET is engaged in the development of basketball, etc.

Support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteers, and displaced persons

In 2020, Andrii Matiukha founded the FAVBET Foundation, which has implemented over 100 projects.

With the beginning of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, the foundation restructured its work by 70% to support social and charitable projects related to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, purchasing over 1,600 drones, 700 vehicles, necessary technical ammunition, etc.

Donor participation in the projects of the national platform UNITED24, namely:

- Purchase and delivery of 53 new Peugeot Landtrek pickups for military drones (Army Drones) in the amount of 57 million UAH;

- Donation of 20 million UAH for the purchase of 15,000 FPV drones;

- Support in the amount of 4 million UAH for equipping air defense with sensors for detecting aerial targets;

- Donation of 5 million UAH for the elimination of the consequences of the Kakhovka HPP explosion.

As of July 2025, the FAVBET group of companies has provided assistance to the Ukrainian army and the Defense Forces in the amount of over 730 million UAH.

Today the Foundation also supports volunteer organizations, displaced people, and medical institutions. Andrii Matiukha believes that heroism isn't found in grand gestures.

“Supporting the army and helping people who’ve lost their homes isn’t just charity — it’s our contribution to a common cause and preservation of the country,” says Andrii Matiukha.

Supporting Ukrainian refugees

In 2022, the FAVBET Foundation opened a center for Ukrainian refugees in Zagreb, Croatia, offering psychological, legal, and educational support. The initiative received the "Responsible Country" award from the MMR portal.

Co-Producer and sponsor of a film


In 2024, Andrii Matiukha took on an unusual role for himself — co-producer and patron of the Ukrainian mockumentary film "We Were Recruits." It tells the story of the combat path of the 3rd Assault Brigade.

In 2024, the film made it to the shortlist of the Ukrainian Oscar Committee in the category of "Best International Feature Film".

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation

Since 2025, Andrii Matiukha has been heading his own foundation. Its priorities include defense, assistance to veterans, education, healthcare, and the development of international projects.

Among the foundation’s first supported projects are: the international humanitarian initiative ORIGAMI FOR UKRAINE at the Kyiv Museum to assist veterans — with the participation of the mayor offices of Brussels and Kyiv; the purchase of equipment for the surgical department of Okhmatdyt to save children with developmental disabilities; the consultation service platform for prosthetics “Ye-Prosthesis”; and urgent targeted aid to those affected by military attacks.

“Superhero Club” for children

The special project “Superhero Club” was created by the FAVBET Foundation for children and teenagers from families of internally displaced persons and military servicemen, as well as children from socially vulnerable groups.

“Strength in Knowledge,” “IT Kids,” and “Stronger Together” are the main projects of the Superhero Club.

A partner in the educational program IT Kids, through which children received modern IT education on the charitable basis, was the nationwide network of coding clubs for children and teenagers, Code Club Ukraine.

Family

Married, has children.

In 2025, management of the FAVBET group of companies was transferred to Andrii Matiukha’s son, Dmytro, who had previously been responsible for product development and later for the company’s expansion into international markets. He currently oversees:
